Most board wax is made with parraffin (a petrochemical) as a main base ingredient , synthetic chemical fragrances, and vistanex (an Exxon Mobil chemical). Which ends up on you and ultimately in the water your surfing in.
Just think of all the times you have to reapply wax, where is it all going? Many people are aware of the chemicals in sunscreen and it’s effect on our environment but a lot of us haven’t even thought about what’s in our surf wax as well. Thankfully our friends at Cannabax have, they've come up with the first chemical free bar of surf wax using only hemp, beeswax, and tree resin , right up our alley!
